Hey everybody!
Thanks for checking out our comp, here is what it is all about...
On April 15th, 2013, Martin Richard was tragically killed in the Boston Marathon Bombing. He was 8 years old. Around the same time, our good friend Bryan McPherson was heading towards Santa Cruz on tour. Originally from Dorchester, Massachusetts, the same area of Boston as the Richard family, he recorded a song with all proceeds going to a fund set up for Martin Richard through his school. Inspired by this and the actions of other close friends and family in the Boston area, we decided to record a short compilation record of a few of the many talented musicians in our hometown of Santa Cruz.
This mini-comp will be a digital only release with 100% of proceeds going directly to Martin's school, the Neighborhood House Charter School. All the songs are acoustic, original and unreleased! We encourage you to buy the comp and/or donate directly to Martin's school and family.
